Everton are looking to make Yacine Brahmi their first big summer signing after joining the race for the Porto winger, according to Portuguese paper A Bola.
Brahimi has been on the Toffees’ radar for a while and Ronald Koeman failed to get him with a £33million bid on deadline day last summer.
Brahimi, 27, has a £52.5 million release clause but there is talk that Porto would be open to sell for cheaper as they need to raise money in order to stay in line with the financial fair play rules.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilić is also keeping a close eye on Brahimi as Porto look to cash in on the Algerian international during the window.
The wide man, who scored six times in 22 appearances during the campaign has been monitored by both clubs during the season and it looks set to go down to a two-horse race in the battle for his signature.
