Another unsurprisingly diabolical game from an already holidaying Everton. Ronald Koeman is losing his usual coldness as he begins to play favourites by letting Maarten Stekelenburg – who is appearing ever more like a raffle winner – stay in-goal for Everton.
Am I targeting? Scapegoating? Yes.
Does he deserve it? 100%
Anyway, that’s not to say the rest of that shambles aren’t to be blamed, as there were only three players fit to wear that shirt against Swansea.
We were awful from start to finish and it was, worryingly, like a post-2015 Roberto Martinez game, as most of our away games under Koeman have been.
Maybe he wasn’t the source of the problem?
Devil’s advocate maybe? Definitely.
Anyway, we were awful in the first half, I won’t patronize you and give you a play-by-play of what happened, but nothing of note needs to be recapped on other than that buying some players in summer would be sound.
Ratings then…
