Only Lionel Messi has scored more goals across Europe’s top leagues than Sporting Lisbon forward Bas Dost, so it is no surprise to see the Dutchman being linked with a move away from Portugal.
According to a report from Portuguese outlet CM, the 27-year-old is a target for Everton, as well as Stoke City and West Brom.
With a £50million release clause in his contract, and with Sporting in no rush to sell, it could take a huge bid to sign him, which seemingly rules out both the Baggies and the Potters, but Everton could have the funds to make such a bid.

The likelihood is that the only way we’d see Dost at Goodison Park is if Romelu Lukaku leaves, but there is a chance that Everton could still spend big on a forward and keep the Belgian international too.
Dost has scored 31 goals in 28 league games this season at a ratio of a goal every 79 minutes and whilst that kind of record would be almost impossible to repeat in the Premier League, he’s shown he has the ability to score goals wherever he has been.
