3-0, 4-0, 6-3, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 4-2
We’ve scored 26 goals in 7 games at home, averaging over 3 a game and only conceded 5, since January. We constantly seem like we’re going to cool down but we keep going at full pelt at Goodison, making that push for the Top Six that has been out of our reach for the majority of the season.
The growth in integrity since the Watford game in September showed last Sunday against Leicester, as we scored early on but then proceeded to concede two goals in the next ten minutes. Under Martinez, we would have folded and probably gone on to concede a few more. We didn’t, instead, we scored 3 more and completed the double over the Champions.
Burnley will be a similar test, if not harder. They’re probably of equal ability as Leicester are, and they’re far more resilient. Despite not winning away all season (Wonder what’s going to happen now) they have shown tremendous form at Turf Moor.
We, on the other hand, are starting to get some players back from their injury layoffs, so everything is looking alright.
Which is terrifying if you know Everton.
