We came into the game off of a decent string of results, winning 3 of the last 5. This showed In parts throughout the first half, as we were explosive at times. Those times, however, proved to be a muted explosion as we couldn’t penetrate the Leicester defence, which, to their credit, were solid.
We had chances, with Ross Barkley providing the kick-start for most good moments. He was brilliant in the first half, collecting the ball off of Tom Davies and driving forward like we know he can do.
Enner Valencia was another who performed well, with quick turns in and around the box.
Nothing came of it, though.
The second half is truly what proved Koeman’s struggle. At least substitutes wise. Brought the 2 best players on the pitch off for two players who contributed nothing.
And this ‘nothing’ led to our downfall Along with Gareth Barry.
1-2. Season over.
Six months now of waiting, because it won’t get better. This board needs to wake the F**k up before Koeman gives up on them.
Open. Your. Eyes.
