The Toffees have been chasing the Italian since the summer and even had a £25m bid rejected, with Napoli hoping the player could fill Gonzalo Higuain’s boots.
Gabbiadini has struggled so far this season which has resulted in Napoli’s loosening their grip on the player, and are now seemingly open to the idea of a transfer.

The forward has only scored three goals in 17 appearances for the Naples club, which has led to his value dropping, hence the drop in transfer fee from what Everton offered in the summer.
The Toffees are in need of a striker with Romelu Lukaku the clubs only top class forward, with Arouna Kone injured and Enner Valencia blowing hot or cold so far this season.
Everton are also thought to be close to signing Manchester United duo Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin as the club look to get their business done early and push for a Europa League spot this season.
