Yannick Bolasie suffered a terrible knee ligament injury in a match against Manchester United last weekend and he is confirmed to be out for a very long time, which is probably until the end of the season.
Ronald Koeman has expressed his disappointment and sympathy to the player.
It’s a big loss for everybody; the player, his teammates and the whole club, it’s a long-term injury and he’s an important player. He is travelling to London and will get a second opinion about the operation, which would normally be next week. For everybody it is a big disappointment.
This, of course, has affected Ronald Koeman’s transfer plans. The Dutchman now admits that he is likely to sign a replacement in the next transfer window.
I think we are looking for some good options. Maybe now it’s necessary to look a little bit more than it was before, because we have lost Yannick for a long time.

Koeman refused to give comments about his interest in signing Memphis Depay in January but did say that he will try to work it out.
I don’t speak about players from other clubs or rumors. January coming up means that every day in the press means there will be speculation. We will do our work and not mention it to the press.
Due to Yannick Bolasie’s injury, other players such as Gerard Deulofeu and Aaron Lennon could be given more game time, as said by The Toffees boss.
Of course it’s opportunity for other players who didn’t play a lot in the last few weeks. We know we need a big squad. It’s a big month coming up with a lot of games and we need everyone available and at a good level.
