Everton are the club leading the race to sign highly-rated Charlton attacker Ademola Lookman in the January transfer window, sources close to the club have told ESPN.
The 19-year-old forward burst onto the scene for the Addicks last season and has established himself as one of the brightest young players in the Football League over the last 18 months.
After scoring five goals in his debut season last term, Lookman has six goals in 20 appearances in 2016/17 for Charlton and has attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have all had scouts watch the young English striker on several occasions this season while Crystal Palace had several bids rejected on transfer deadline day for Lookman, but it’s Everton that are leading the race.
The Toffees are in talks with Charlton for the £10m-rated striker but the Addicks are unwilling to allow Lookman to leave this season as they look to battle their way out of League One and back into the Championship.
