Everton are expected to face competition from Tottenham and several other Premier League outfits for the signing of Bristol City defender Hordur Magnusson in January.
According to HITC’s Graeme Bailey, the Icelandic centre-back has attracted interest from up to six Premier League clubs, including the Toffees and Spurs, and could be on the move when the next transfer window comes around.
Magnusson was a leading player for Iceland at Euro 2016 and his performances earned him a £2.5m summer move from Juventus to Bristol City where he has flourished whilst playing every week.

The 23-year-old has had Premier League scouts watching him frequently this season and the likes of Everton and Tottenham could be preparing January bids. He will not come cheap and any deal will likely cost interested parties in excess of £10m.
Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri recently confirmed his side’s mega-bid for Kalidou Koulibaly back in the summer and Ronald Koeman is still interested in adding a centre-back in January.
While Magnusson is on his wishlist, it’s believed that Sunderland’s Lamine Kone is Everton’s No.1 January target and they will go back in for him after seeing an £18m offer turned down for the Ivorian in the summer.
