Everton’s new majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has been left asking questions over why the club was not able to secure the signatures of their transfer targets, according to the Mirror.
The Toffees looked to sign players such as Axel Witsel, Lamine Kone, Lucas Perez, Manolo Gabbiadini and Moussa Sissoko but transfers failed to materialise due to bumpy negotiations.

The Iranian businessman had provided Ronald Koeman and club officials with a healthy transfer budget but found negotiations difficult with a number of clubs.
According to the report, Moshiri has told those close to him that the club “will not make the same mistakes again in forthcoming transfer windows – or heads will roll.”
After selling John Stones for roughly £47million, Everton went on to sign Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace, Idrissa Gueye from Aston Villa, Ashley Williams from Swansea and Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham.
The Blues did manage to make one deadline day signing as Enner Valencia joins from West Ham on a season-long loan with an option for a permanent transfer next summer.
One thing is for sure, if there is a similar failure in January, Moshiri will be on a war path to get to the bottom of why Everton are unable to capture their targets.
