Everton missed out on the Capital One Cup Final as they were beaten 3-1 by Manchester City at the Etihad.
It looked positive for the Blues after they went ahead on the night through Ross Barkley, a brilliant run capped off by a finish into the bottom corner of the net.
Manchester City then went level through a deflected goal from Fernandinho, his long range shot cannoning off Leighton Baines over the unfortunate Joel Robles.
The Blues then managed to weather the storm until midway through the second half, Raheem Sterling pulling back for substitute Kevin De Bruyne to score. Although Sterling did carry the ball out of play.
Sergio Aguero then sealed the game on 80 minutes, heading past Joel Robles to crush Evertonian’s cup dreams.
