Out of favour Everton winger Aiden McGeady could make a return to Celtic Park in order to end his nightmare season at Everton.
McGeady’s only club football this campaign has been in a League Cup match against Barnsley, and has rarely made the substitutes bench this season, with Aaron Lennon, Kevin Mirallas, Gerard Deulofeu and Arouna Kone all ahead of him in the pecking order.
McGeady was a product of the Celtic academy and spent six years at the club before being sold to Russian side Spartak Moscow in 2010. During his spell in Scotland he made 184 appearances, scoring 29 times and setting up 47 goals.

He joined Everton in January 2014 and has made 43 appearances for the Toffees. scoring a solitary goal and assisting seven while in Merseyside. This season, the closest he has come to a league appearance was when he was an unused substitute in Everton’s 3-2 victory over West Brom.
Celtic currently sit top of the Scottish Premier League, with 13 victories from 19 matches.
