Ahead of Saturday’s fixture between Everton and Aston Villa, I decided to draw up my perfect team, consisting of players from both clubs. Aston Villa currently lie in last place with only five points their opening 12 games. Villa have had a nightmare start to the season, with their only win coming against Bournemouth on the opening day. After removing Tim Sherwood from his position as manager and appointing Frenchmen Remi Garde, the Villains will be praying for a change in fortunes to save their Premier League status.
Everton however remain in ninth place, after following their emphatic win over Sunderland with a mediocre display at Upton Park, where the Blues could only take one point from the high-flying Hammers.
The Combined XI is this time presented in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Again, there are several players that deserved to feature but I couldn’t find space for; the selection was difficult. Ultimately, you may agree or disagree with my choices but they are nothing more than my opinions. Nevertheless, here is the team;
