Everton are interested in Barcelona’s Cristian Tello, who doesn’t want to return to the Nou Camp when his loan spell ends, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 24-year old joined Portuguese club Porto on a two-year loan deal in July 2014, following limited chances at Barcelona due to their wealth of attacking talent.
Since joining Porto on loan, he has made 29 appearances, scoring seven goals.
As Tello’s loan deal expires next summer he’ll return to the Catalonian giants, but his agent Josep Maria Orobitg has revealed he wants a permanent move away – with Everton reportedly interested in his signature.
“Tello and I have already told Barcelona that he does not want to return to Camp Nou,” Tello’s agent Josep Maria Orobitg told O Jogo.
“And Barcelona does not want to have any players who would rather be elsewhere. His future is not at Barcelona.”
The winger has also been targeted by Tottenham and Liverpool in recent years, but he rejected both of them to join Porto back in 2014.
“Tello would like to stay at Porto. He really wants to stay put and we are not just saying this to give him a good image. He loves Porto and has always been treated very well.”
Although Tello is interested in staying with Porto on a permanent deal, Everton may try to hijack any potential offer with the attraction of Premier League football. But it won’t be easy as Liverpool and Tottenham remain interested in securing his signature.
If Tello does sign for the Blues, he would join his fellow Barcelona youth graduate Gerard Deulofeu, who signed for the Toffees this summer for around £4million.
